About
The Small Business Academy provides small and start-up businesses with the tools, knowledge and skills they need to make their new business a success.
Starting a business takes resilience and bucket loads of determination, but there is also a lot to learn too about how to finance your business, marketing your business, grow your business… and doing it by yourself is tough!
The Academy was founded by Nikki Hesford, a multi-award winning entrepreneur. When starting her own business in 2008, she spent many hours trawling the internet for free or affordable, but reliable, sources of information. Had the right tools and resources been available, she could have saved herself a great deal of time and money in learning how to start and operate a start-up business and she was determined that one day, she would create a hub of support that could be relied upon and trusted by other would-be entrepreneurs. And so…
…The Small Business Academy was born!
